What is rhodiola?
Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea), or "golden root", is a succulent plant that grows in cold regions: Scandinavia, Siberia, the mountains of Europe. The Vikings already used it to support strength and endurance, and it has been part of traditional Russian and Scandinavian pharmacopoeia for centuries.
What tradition says
Rhodiola is the energising adaptogen, traditionally used to:
- face temporary physical and mental fatigue;
- support endurance and performance during periods of effort;
- accompany periods of overwork and mental load.
It is the mirror of ashwagandha: taken in the morning, where ashwagandha is taken in the evening. The two actually combine very well.
Dosage and use
Our extract is taken as drops diluted in a glass of water, in the morning or early in the day so as not to disturb sleep, as a course of at least 3 weeks. See the label for the precise dosage.
A cultivated root, not a wild one
Wild rhodiola is now threatened by overharvesting. That is why we only use root from cultivation: the plant is protected, quality is consistent, and your extract remains sustainable.
Precautions
Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or children without medical advice. Avoid taking it in the evening. Food supplement: not a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
